Earlier this year, eagle-eyed FMR Conservation Director Tom Lewanski spotted a peregrine falcon perched on a building adjacent to FMR's downtown St. Paul offices. Peregrine falcons have been nesting along the North Shore of Lake Superior and at several man-made habitats around Minnesota. Efforts supported by the Minnesota DNR's and its partners have helped restore Minnesota's peregrine falcon population, with 116 successfully fledged chicks counted in 2010.
