Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area
Our nearly 400 paddlers enjoyed the scenery of the Mississippi River firsthand while also playing a critical role in helping FMR continue to do great work in river protection.

FMR is thrilled to report that the seventh annual Mississippi River Challenge was a success! The weekend-long event, July 24th-25th, brought nearly 400 participants together to celebrate the river by paddling its waters.
Paddlers had a great time enjoying the scenery of the Mississippi River firsthand while playing a critical role in helping FMR continue to do great work in river protection. Thanks to the hard work of nearly 200 volunteers, 400 paddlers, and many generous sponsors, FMR was able to raise over $120,000! Proceeds will go toward river protection, restoration, and conservation right here in the Twin Cities community.
FMR is grateful to all of those who contributed to the success of the Mississippi River Challenge. We look forward to seeing you on the river next year, July 30th-31st!
