Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area
Early April is a great time to see waterfowl in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge as birds pass through on their spring migration. See a great diversity of waterfowl and other wildlife as we hike along trails near the old Cedar Avenue Bridge in the Long Meadow Lake Unit of the refuge. FMR staff and interpretive guides will lead the hike along trails that amble through marshland habitat out to the open water of Long Meadow Lake. Please dress for the weather and wear boots that can get muddy.
