Stewart Crosby is a Senior Landscape Architect at SRF Consulting Group, Inc., an engineering, planning and landscape architecture firm based in Minneapolis. His work focuses on park and trail planning and design, historic preservation projects and streetscape design. In addition to serving on FMR’s board, he also serves on the board of directors for the Carolyn Foundation, the Trust for Public Land and the Quetico-Superior Foundation. He has a bachelor of science degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon.

Favorite Mississippi River location: “A cliff band along the edge of Grey Cloud Island that you can paddle underneath if you’re on the main stem of the river. It’s unique and picturesque.”
Favorite animal: Frieda, the family golden retriever.
Conservation/Environmental heroes: Frederick Law Olmsted, Jens Jensen, Sigurd Olson, Aldo Leopold.
Last memorable vacation: Summer of 2006, when Stewart and his wife took their 4-year-old and 6-year-old kids to Alaska’s Kenai Fjords National Park. “It’s an amazing place.”
