Duties: Supporting fundraising and organizational development activities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Lawrence University (Appleton, WI); pursuing Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, Dominican University.

Professional experience: Development Director, Minnesota Justice Foundation; Development Director, Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy (also Membership and Grants Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at MCEA); also managed outdoor retail store in Chicago.

Hobbies: Reading, hiking and camping, and, for now, school.

Favorite book: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole

Last books she read that she really loved: The Golden Spruce: A True Story of Myth, Madness, and Greed by John Vaillant

Favorite animal: “Other than my dog, I like the pileated woodpecker quite a bit.”

Favorite location on the river: “I love the oak savanna near 36th Street and the West River Road — it’s near my home and provides wonderful solitude.”

Last big vacation: A road trip to Yellowstone for hiking and camping followed by baseball games at three major league baseball parks in four days.

Conservation/environmental heroes: John Muir, Aldo Leopold, and Gaylord Nelson — and all have ties to Kerry’s home state of Wisconsin. Read more…
