Crosby Park Prairie Planting

Display Date:
Saturday, May 31 — 9:00 am-noon
Location:
Crosby Farm Regional Park, Saint Paul

Please note: pre-registration is required for this limited capacity, hands-on restoration event. Details below.

Help plant an interpretive native prairie at Crosby Farm Regional Park! Volunteers will put in 1,000 native prairie plants and install species markers to educate and inform visitors.

This event marks the beginning of an exciting effort to restore three acres of native prairie at Crosby. Join us for prairie management events throughout the summer, and to sow seeds in the fall. This is your opportunity to witness — and contribute to — a prairie reconstruction.

Staff will provide all guidance, tools, and gloves needed for a healthy planting and fun event. Children accompanied by a parent or guardian are encouraged to attend.

Pre-registration is required to guarantee adequate supplies and a quality experience for all involved. The meeting location within the park will be e-mailed to registrants.

To register, or for more information, contact sue through our contact form or 651-222-2193 x14. Please include your name, the number in your party, contact information and the name of the event in your message. Read more…
