FMR 5% Day at Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market in Saint Paul is hosting a 5% Day on Thursday, April 19, 2007 to support the work of Friends of the Mississippi River! This means that 5% of Whole Foods’ net revenue for the day will be donated to FMR to fund our programs! So stock up on vitamins and bulk goods and encourage all of your friends to visit Whole Foods on the 19th as well.

FMR will have a table in the front of the store with literature. Volunteers and staff will be present most of the day to answer questions and talk about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. The store hours are 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. The St. Paul Whole Foods is located at the corner of Fairview and Grand Avenues in Saint Paul.

When you visit, please let a Whole Foods staff person know that you appreciate their support of Friends of the Mississippi River! See you on the 16th!

From Northwest and West Metro

Take I-94 eastbound to the Cretin/Vandalia exit. Turn right (south) on to Cretin and follow it to the intersection with Grand Avenue (about 1 mile). Turn left (east) on Grand and follow it to the intersection with Fairview (about 3/4 mile). Whole Foods Market is on the northeast corner of the intersection. Turn left (north) on Fairview to enter the parking lot.

From East Metro

Take I-94 westbound to the Snelling Avenue exit. Turn left (south) on Snelling and follow it to Grand Avenue (just over 3/4 of a mile). Turn right (west) on to Grand Avenue and follow it to the intersection with Fairview (about 1/2 mile). Whole Foods Market is on the northeast corner of the intersection. Turn right (north) on Fairview to enter the parking lot.

From Southwest Metro

Follow I-494 eastbound to Highway 5 (toward Saint Paul). Take Highway 5 and exit on Edgecumbe Road just after the Mississippi River (exit on the right, then follow left fork). Edgecumbe eventually feeds into Fairview Avenue northbound. Follow Fairview to the intersection with Grand Avenue. (This intersection is about 3 miles from the Edgecumbe exit off of Highway 5.) Whole Foods Market is on the northeast corner of the intersection. Just past Grand Avenue, enter the Whole Foods parking lot on the right.

From Southeast Metro

Follow I-35E northbound to the Randolph Avenue exit. Turn left (west) on to Randolph and follow it to the intersection with Fairview Avenue (just over 1-1/2 miles). Turn right (north) on Fairview and follow it to Grand Avenue (about 1 mile). Whole Foods Market is on the northeast corner of the intersection. Just past Grand Avenue, enter the Whole Foods parking lot on the right.

Taking the Bus

Grand Avenue is served by MetroTransit Line 63 and includes a stop at Fairview Avenue. Line 63 meets several connecting routes at Snelling Avenue to the east and Cretin Avenue to the west. Check schedules and routes at www.metrotransit.org. Read more…
