Action Alert: Oppose Upper Harbor Terminal bonding [CLOSED]

The Minnesota Legislature is considering $2 million in public bonds for a privately-operated concert venue at Upper Harbor Terminal on the North Minneapolis riverfront, within Above the Falls Regional Park. This venue, called the Community Performing Arts Center, will be operated by First Avenue and yield wealth for a small ownership team, not the community at large. Furthermore, this bonding bill requests design funding even though community engagement is not yet complete. We believe that a better community process can lead to a development plan with stronger community benefits and riverfront protections. Your advocacy can help us get to a new plan with better community outcomes.

Take action now to tell your legislators to oppose the use of $2 million in public bonds for the design of a private venue.
