Whose view? From where? — October 2010

Congratulations to Jim Fitzpatrick who was spot on with his guess for Octobers view:

I believe this picture is the 18th green and fairway of the River Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove looking west across the river towards Pine Bend Bluff and Spring Lake portion of the Mississippi above lock and dam number two at Hastings.

Ive never played this course so I cant say whether this is the 18th green and fairway for certain, but this photo was taken from the city-owned clubhouse on the River Oaks Golf Course.

About Whose view? From where?

Each month in this section, we feature a photo somewhere along the river corridor in the Twin Cities that is in some way significant or important or just plain scenic. Individuals may then e-mail us and identify the view and explain why they believe it is significant to the community or important to them personally. Well publish some of your responses in the next issue of Mississippi Messages, where we will also reveal the correct answer.
