Duties: Manages the logistics and communications for the Mississippi River Challenge.

Education: B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management focusing on Policy, Planning, Law and Society and Minor Degree in Forest Resources from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Why I work for FMR: The landscape and connected waterways of Minnesota are central to our cultural identity, and the Mississippi is our champion. It binds us together, and it’s something that should be cultivated, celebrated, and protected.

Hobbies: Music, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, hunting, film, brewing.

Favorite book: Trout Fishing in America by Richard Brautigan.

Favorite musicians: Charlie Parr. Various others.

Favorite location on the river: Headwaters.

Favorite way to spend a day: On the lake with friends and family.

Last big vacation: Hiking to Lake Warren in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Environmental heroes: Peter Calthorpe, and everyday people who take initiative to change their own lives.
