Please note: Pre-registration required; early registration to Wargo Nature Center (FMR is not taking registration) highly encouraged. See below.
Join FMR and Wargo Nature Center staff for a guided paddle on Rice Creek, an important tributary to the Mississippi River that flows through the northern suburbs.
Enjoy great scenery while previewing the newly formed Rice Creek Water Trail, which runs from the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Preserve through to the Mississippi River in Fridley.
We will be paddling a section of the creek from just before the Armory in Arden Hills to Long Lake in New Brighton. Meeting location will be given to registrants.
This program is open to canoeists and kayakers of all abilities. Youth are welcome with a parent or guardian. A limited number of canoes and kayaks are available for rent from Wargo Nature Center for a small fee.
To register, call Wargo Nature Center at 651-429-8007, please include your full contact information and if you will need to rent a canoe or kayak.
