Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area

Events & Activities

Gorge Stewards remove invasive garlic mustard from land along the Mississippi River gorge.

FMR events are a great way to learn about and give back to the Mississippi River. Above, volunteers help protect habitat and promote watershed health by removing invasive species.

Whether you enjoy pulling buckthorn or garlic mustard, hoisting canoes on to the beach for weary Mississippi River Challenge paddlers, or learning about the flora, fauna, and natural history of the Mississippi River, we can find a way to get you involved in exploring and protecting the Mississippi River.

Check out our list of upcoming events below. To find out more about previous events, including photos and stories from selected events, visit our Past Events listings.

We’ll see you on the river!
