Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area
The popular HGTV network selected the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary as one of its “Change The World. Start at Home” contest winners. As a result, hundreds of volunteers will be joining us to work on the site from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26; Monday, April 28; Wednesday, April 30; Friday May 2 and Saturday, May 3.
Each day, approximately 75 volunteers will be on the site, planting trees, making tree guards, spreading mulch and raking trails. Site leaders are needed to oversee small groups of adult volunteers. Anyone with experience planting trees or managing volunteers can fill this important role. All participants will receive a free lunch and t-shirt.
