Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area
Volunteer in your community to help clean up the parkland along the Vermillion River as part of an organized watershed-wide Vermillion River clean up at three sites throughout the watershed. Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter along the Vermillion River during the low water levels of autumn, helping to beautify this trophy trout stream.
The clean-up will begin at 9:00 a.m. with volunteers meeting at three sites throughout the Vermillion River watershed. After receiving garbage bags and gloves, volunteers will head out to collect litter and other debris that has accumulated along the river and floodplain over the summer months. Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the event.
Please register by noon, Wednesday September 17th, to help us make sure there are enough supplies (and food) and to give us time to send detailed directions and other important information.
