Come explore the newly created bird habitat along the Vermillion River in Dakota County with FMR's conservation Director Tom Lewanski.

We will search for birds in restored wet meadow and prairie and along the river within the Vermillion River Wildlife Management Area/Aquatic Management Area and within the Empire Wastewater Treatment Plant property.

Bird sightings might include dickcissels, yellow warblers, indigo buntings, Baltimore orioles, and other spring migrants. Spring wildflowers could also be abundant at this time.

This event is part of the Vermillion Stewards program, which involves volunteers in hands-on stewardship and educational programs throughout the unique Vermillion River watershed.
