Discover the beautiful native grasses and wildflowers of the largest intact prairie system in the Twin Cities. Explore wind-sculpted dunes overlooking the river and look for rare prairie plants with experienced guides. This is one of our most popular tours!

Grey Cloud Dunes Scientific and Natural Area is an outstanding example of dry sand prairie overlooking the Mississippi River. The prairie supports populations of five rare plants.

As soon as you know you can attend, sign up with sue rich through our contact form (please select “Tours, hikes”) or at at 651-222-2193 x14 (sue is in Tuesdays-Thursdays). Please include your name, the number in your party, contact information and the name of the event. Registrants will receive detailed meeting location and additional information.
