Working to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area
Friends of the Mississippi River is currently seeking applicants for the position of Mississippi River Challenge Social Media and Marketing Intern for fall 2013.
The Mississippi River Challenge is a two-day paddle-a-thon fundraiser that seeks to raise money for Friends of the Mississippi River as well as provide recreational opportunities for paddlers to get in touch with their local waterways.
You’ll be working as a part of a team to follow up with participants and sponsors of the 2013 Mississippi River Challenge — an essential part of making the 2014 event successful!
Although this is an unpaid position, you will have opportunities to gain valuable experience in the fundraising and nonprofit events realm. Also, you will have great networking opportunities with other outdoors organizations and businesses.Qualifications:
