An Evening Celebrating the Mississippi River: Our Storied River
Save the date for An Evening Celebrating the Mississippi River: Our Storied River, the Big River’s biggest night!
This year’s event will be virtual and celebrate the stories that flow from our experiences with the river. Our program will feature storytellers whose lives have been changed by our great river. The curated selection of stories will dazzle and twist, flood and still us, and echo diverse voices and varied experiences.
The night’s virtual festivities will be helmed by Javier Morillo, writer, pundit and local host of The Moth. Our storytellers will be coached by Loren Niemi – a National Storytelling Network Lifetime Achievement Award winner. The event will also feature updates on FMR’s work during this unprecedented time, and interactive opportunities for event participants to support our critical mission.
